Chishminsky District (Russian: Чишминский район; Bashkir: Шишмә районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-four in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is located in the central part of the republic and borders with Kushnarenkovsky District in the north, Ufimsky District in the northeast and east, Karmaskalinsky District in the southeast, Davlekanovsky District in the south, and Blagovarsky District in the west and northwest. The area of the district is 1,823.77 square kilometers (704.16 sq mi).^[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Chishmy.^[2] District's population: 52,303 (2010 Census preliminary results);^[2] 52,663 (2002 Census);^[7] 45,660 (1989 Census).^[8] Population of Chishmy accounts for 40.5% of the district's population.^[2]

The district was established in 1930.^[3]
