Chattagram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital Medical College (CMOSHMC) is a private medical college of Bangladesh, founded in 2005, which is a program of Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital. It has one campus in Agrabad, Chittagong. CMOSHMC has been affiliated with the Chittagong University as a constituent college since the 2005-06 session.

History

CMOSHMC was established in 2005 by a group of dedicated founder members who were imbued with the ideals of providing quality medical education, research and services to the people of Bangladesh at reasonable cost.

Classes commenced on 3 June 2006.

Administration

The college and the hospital are run by Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital effective committee, a non-political and non-profit organisation. The members of the institute are not entitled to any remuneration or dividends.

Recognition

The college was recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council in 2009. CMOSHMC has been enlisted in the Directory of Medical colleges effective 2009 published by Bangladesh Health Ministry which entitles the graduates of CMOSHMC recognition all over the country. Graduates of CMOSHMC are eligible for post-graduation.

Hospital

Chattagram Maa-Shishu O General Hospital is a 500-bed hospital with all emergency as well as general facilities. Daily outpatients who are treated here are in thousands. All minor as well as major surgeries are conducted. Modern diagnostic facilities as well as intensive care facilities are available. Further development in the field of technology is on proposals.
