Christopher Bell (born 20 April 1968 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England) is an English military historian.

Born to Leslie William and Dinah Bell (née Kenworthy), Bell was brought up in the village of Markfield, Leicestershire, and attended several schools in Groby and De Montfort University, where he gained a first class honours degree, before going to New College, Oxford, where he graduated MA before pursuing his career.

His published articles include "Enlistment, Impressment & National Service" and "The Social effect of the Pals Battalions". Bell is currently writing historical fiction, focussing on the actions during the American War of Independence of the 17th Regiment of Foot, now the Royal Leicestershire Regiment. Heroes of Princeton was released in paperback ISBN 978-1-4535-5829-4 and hardback ISBN 978-1-4535-5830-0 in August 2010. In 2011, Bell returned to his academic roots and published New Life - New Hopes following East European immigration into the Canadian Prairie Provinces in the late 19th Century and began his prequel to Heroes of Princeton entitled Poor Boys Dead set during the French and Indian Wars.

Bell developed strong links with the Royal Leicestershire Regiment via his father who served with the Regiment during the Cyprus and Suez campaigns. He is a member of the Royal Tigers Association and the academic society Gray's Lodge. He has given much time to several servicemen's charities, raising their profile and awareness.

Bell spends his time between Alberta, Canada and Leicestershire UK..
