Playing career
Lewington played for non-league sides Sittingbourne, Dulwich Hamlet, Fisher Athletic and Leatherhead, before signing with Dagenham & Redbridge in August 2009, after impressing on trial.[2] Despite not featuring for the club in 2009–10, in June 2010 he signed a new two year deal,[3] following the club's promotion from League Two.[4] He made his first team debut in the Football League Trophy on 31 August 2010, in a 1–0 defeat at Charlton Athletic's The Valley Stadium.[5]
