City Discovery is an online travel company that specializes in the ecommerce sale of sightseeing tours, travel experiences and ground transportation worldwide. City Discovery sells directly to consumers through City-Discovery.com and a network of over 7,500 travel agencies and affiliates. City Discovery is available in 13 languages and has offices in USA, France, Italy, Greece and the Philippines.[1]

Features

City Discovery sells over 5,000 travel activities in 300 destinations and offer features such as traveler reviews, wishlist, suggested itineraries and gift certificates.[2]

City Discovery has launched in November 2009 a Mobile website. Accessible from mobile phones with internet browsing capability, mobile.city-discovery.com is tailored for devices like Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry.[3]

City Discovery claims to be one of the first in the travel industry to use Short Message Service to confirm bookings and remind customers about their booking details.[4]

They also present online videos of some of the products.[5]

City Discovery started by launching French, Italian, Spanish and German website versions to reach out European customers[6] then added Scandinavian languages (Dansk, Svenska, norsk and suomi) and Asian languages (Korean, Japanese and Chinese Mandarin). [7]
