Levi Merry"City of Sound" is an experimental/progressive rock group out of Minneapolis Minnesota. They formed in 2006, shortly after the break-up of Morrison's/Merry's previous project Crashing by Design and Kindvall's/Dickie's previous project White Weather.
History
Formed in late 2006, City of Sound shortly put up two demos, White Summer and Devil's Daughter. The band has already finished their debut CD "L'implosion", which they decided to record and release independently. This, combined with the extravagant and original experimentation in the album and a high attention to detail, meant the album was not released until February, 2009. The band quickly gained a local following, and has been gaining attention with favorable reviews from both Alternative Press[2] and AbsolutePunk[3].They are currently working on a new EP that has yet to have a release date, look for it on their Myspace or facebook.
Current
City of Sound frequently performs in the Midwest, usually in the Minneapolis areas. They continue writing new music and have made few statements in which direction they might try to go in.
