Clarent

King Arthur's sword of peace. It appears in the Alliterative Morte Arthure, where it is stolen by Mordred and used to deliver a fatal blow to Arthur. It was the sword pulled from the stone, whereas Excalibur was granted to Arthur by the Lady of the Lake. It is considered to be the twin sword of Excalibur.

In recent years, Clarent has gained fame through Michael Scott's bestselling The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series.even that clarent is the oppist of excalibur, in the book clarent is the sword of fire.
