Raymond Clifford Cook (born August 20, 1936 in Dallas, Texas) is a former Major League Baseball player, who primarily played third base, though he played some games as an outfielder throughout his career.[1] Cook stood 6 feet (1.8 m) tall, weighed 185 pounds (84 kg), and threw and batted right-handed.

Career

Cook made his Major League debut in 1959 with the Cincinnati Reds. Early in the 1962 season, on May 7, he was traded to the New York Mets with left-handed pitcher Bob Miller for veteran infielder Don Zimmer, where he played until 1963. His MLB career that lasted from 1959 to 1963, with each of those seasons also spent in minor league baseball. Overall, his career statistics were 163 games played, 398 at bats, 33 hits, 7 home runs, and a .201 batting average.
