Conqueror Browser is an open source web browser^[2] using the Trident and Chakra Engine rendering engines by Microsoft^[3]. Version 1.2, released in February 2011^[4], is the a major update to the browser.^[5] In future versions starting from version 2, the its developers have hinted that they will integrate the Webkit rendering engine.^[6] Conqueror Browser is available as a free download, and supports Microsoft Windows XP SP3 or later and Linux through Mono.^[7]

History

Conqueror browser is made by Akash Yadav^[8] under the name AKA Software House^[9][10] as a hobby project.^[11]

Latest version of Conqueror Browser 1.2 is released which offers integration of latest Chakra Engine^[12] The developers have hinted that they are working to incorporate Webkit in future versions.^{[13] [14]}using Qt.

Features

Conqueror provides minimal interface like the Google Chrome. It also integrates tabbed interface. The Omnibox of Google Chrome is also provided to merge both search and address bar features into a single bar to save space. The latest version also added shortcuts to the do most of browsing related work.^[15] Latest version offers dual integration Trident and Chakra Engine to support latest features like HTML 5 and CSS 3 at the same time providing the compatibility of Trident.^[16][17]
