Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe

Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe

The Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe (formerly called the Convocation of American Churches in Europe) is a jurisdiction of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America similar to a diocese which includes all of the Episcopal Church's congregations in continental Europe. It belongs to Province II of the Episcopal Church, which is otherwise made up of dioceses in New York, New Jersey, Haiti, and the Virgin Islands. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church has jurisdiction over the Convocation, oversight of which is delegated by canon to a bishop in charge, an office currently held by the Right Reverend Pierre W. Whalon, the first bishop of the Convocation to be elected by the Convocation Convention.
