Countess Maria Carolina^[1] Zamoyska^[2][3] (22 September 1896, Kraków, Poland^[2][3] – 9 May 1968, Marseille, France^[2][3]) was the wife of Prince Ranieri, Duke of Castro,^[2][3] claimant to the headship of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. Carolina was the sixth child and youngest daughter^[2][3] of Polish nobleman Andrzej Przemysław Zamoyski, Count Zamoyski and his wife Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.^[2][3] Carolina's maternal grandparents were Prince Francis of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Count of Trapani and his wife Archduchess Maria Isabella of Austria, Princess of Tuscany.^[2][3]

Marriage and issue

Carolina married her first cousin^[2][3] Prince Ranieri of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, son of Prince Alfonso, Count of Caserta and his wife Princess Antonietta of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, on 12 September 1923 in Druzbaki.^[2][3] Carolina and Ranieri had two children:^[2][3]

• Prince Ferdinando Maria Andrea Alfonso Marcus, Duke of Castro (1926–2008)
