About The Courage Centers of Minnesota

From The Courage Centers of Minnesota website: Courage Center is a Minnesota-based rehabilitation and resource center that advances the lives of children and adults experiencing barriers to health and independence. At Courage Center, we specialize in treating brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, chronic pain, autism, and disabilities experienced since birth.^[1]

Camping

The Courage Centers of Minnesota own and operate two camps in Minnesota. These camps are both ACA (American Camp Association) accredited. "Camp Courage lies on 305 acres of beautiful lakeshore, woods and fields near Maple Lake, Minnesota (about 50 miles west of the Twin Cities), and is a modern, accessible setting."^[6] Camp Courage North is located on 105 acres of beautiful pine on Lake George (Near Itasca State Park).^[7]

Youth and Teen Sessions

Adult Camping Sessions

Adventure Camping

Courage Center's Adventure Camps are all based out of Camp Courage North.

Handiham Camps

Typically Courage Center Camps have one Handiham^[9] Session. During this camping session campers are taught how amateur radio works. This session is part of the Courage Center's Handiham System. Campers are given the opportunity to complete all of the necessary
