"Crucify the Dead" is the second track on the self-titled debut solo album by former Guns N' Roses guitarist, Slash. It features Ozzy Osbourne on vocals.

The song was premiered on March 23, 2010 on Amazon.com [1].

Osbourne says he wrote the song's lyrics about what he would tell Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose if he were in Slash's shoes, though Slash later denied that the "Crucify the Dead" lyrics had anything to do with Rose, explaining, "It was an Ozzy thing. He says the song represents the situation he's had in his relationships with other musicians."[2]

Back in 2009, before the release of the album, the song was rumored by Sharon Osbourne to be released as the first single from the album in January 2010, though this proved to be false when "By the Sword" featuring Andrew Stockdale was released as the first single from Slash's debut self-titled album.
