Cutaneous sinus of dental origin

Cutaneous sinus of dental origin (also known as a "Dental sinus") is a condition in which a chronic periapical infection about a tooth produces a burrowing cordlike sinus tract that eventually appears beneath the surface of the gum, palate, or periorificial skin.^[1]:803
