Personal life

Denzler was born in Santa Ana, California, on May 12, 1983. Her parents are Swiss.[4] Denzler and her parents moved to Switzerland, where she still lives, when she was four years old.[4] Denzler began skiing when she was eight years old.[4]

Denzler's father, who is also her coach, first arrived to Colombia in 2000 to open a clothes factory. Denzler acquired her Colombian citizenship through her father's residence and activities in Colombia.[5]

Denzler's nickname is "Cici". She gained this nickname from a Swiss nanny who found that she could not pronounce Cynthia and decided to call Denzler "Cici" instead.[4]

Her base in the winter is Gryon, Switzerland.[citation needed] In the summer, she resides in California and Colombia.[citation needed]

Denzler graduated from Monte Vista High School in 2001.[citation needed] In 2009, she graduated with a BA in Business Administration.[citation needed] As of February 2010, Cynthia started her MBA program.[citation needed] She plans on finishing by the end of 2010.[citation needed]

Skiing career

Denzler debuted internationally as an alpine skier in 1998.[1]
