  • 1977 - Company established
  • 1978 - Acquired the Pak-Arab Fertilizer Project in Pakistan
  • 1980 - Olayan-Descon formed - a JV with Olayan Group of Saudi Arabia
  • 1981 - Acquired the first major project of NRL Lube Oil Refinery
  • 1982 - Descon Manufacturing Works commissioned
  • 1982 - Office established in Abu Dhabi
  • 1983 - Acquired the first Gas Field project - an LPG Plant at Pakistan Oil Fields Limited
  • 1984 - First project in cement sector acquired
