Production Work

In 2008 he produced the film 21, a film based on the New York Times best selling book Bringing Down The House by Ben Mezrich. In early 2009, Brunetti worked with the author again and produced the film The Social Network[2], based on Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires[3], which was adapted by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher. In 2011 the film was nominated for 8 Oscars, including Best Picture, Music (Original Score), Actor In A Leading Role, Cinematography, Directing, Film Editing, Sound Mixing and Writing (Adapted Screenplay).[4] Brunetti talked about The Social Network on KCRW's The Business Podcast [5].

He also produced Fanboys, a 2009 comedy film about fanatic Star Wars fans. The film was distributed by The Weinstein Company, and originally slated for release on August 17, 2007. However, after numerous notorious delays for re-shoots and disagreements over the film’s final cut, Fanboys release was delayed until February 9, 2009. Brunetti discussed the film’s struggles with The Weinstein Company in interviews on KCRW’s The Business podcast [5] and in The New York Times [6].

He has also produced such films as, Shrink (film)[7], the Emmy-nominated Recount (film)[8], the Emmy-nominated Bernard and Doris[9], Casino Jack[10], Mini's First Time[11], The Sasquatch Gang[12], and the documentaries Uncle Frank[13], and America Rebuilds: A Year at Ground Zero[13].

Trigger Street Labs

In 1997, he was introduced to Kevin Spacey by a mutual friend and subsequently became his executive assistant. While working with the actor, Brunetti came up with the idea for Trigger Street Labs – a Web Site aimed to provide a platform for feedback and exposure for user-submitted screenplays. In 2002, he and Kevin Spacey co-founded and launched Trigger Street Labs.[1]

Awards

In 2006 Brunetti was named one of the "100 People To Know In Hollywood" by Fade In Magazine. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
