David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus (died 1558) was the son of George Douglas of Pittendreich and Elizabeth Douglas of the Pittendriech family.
David married Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton of Samuelston, sometimes called 'Clydesdale John,' who was a brother of Regent Arran. They had a son Archibald Douglas, 8th Earl of Angus, and daughters Margaret and Elizabeth.
Margaret first married Walter Scott, laird of Buccleuch, her second husband was Francis Stewart, 5th Earl of Bothwell. Elizabeth married Lord Maxwell.
David succeeded as Earl of Angus in 1557, but died at Cockburnspath in 1558. David's widow, Elizabeth Hamilton, had first married the Laird of Johnston, after David's death her third husband was the Laird of Whitelaw.[1]
