David Stuart Walker ^[3](born 30 May 1957) is the current Bishop of Dudley. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School, competing in the International Mathematical Olympiad in 1975,^[4] and King's College, Cambridge.^[5] After a period of study at Queen's College, Birmingham he was ordained in 1983.^[6] His career began with a curacy at St Mary Handsworth^{[disambiguation needed ]},^[7] after which he was Team Vicar at Maltby^{[disambiguation needed ]}, then Bramley^{[disambiguation needed ]} before elevation to the Episcopate. A keen hill walker,^[8] Bishop David is married to Sue, with two children.
