History

Originally called Draughons Practical Business College, Daymar Institute was founded in 1879, by John F. Draughon, of Adams, Tennessee. He realized that there was a need for people to be trained in business. Initially, classes were offered on wheels. The first permanent school was established in Nashville, Tennessee around the beginning of the 1900s. The school prospered and by the time of Draughon's death in 1921, had a chain of business colleges stretching across the south and western parts of the United States.

Campuses

Daymar Institute campuses are located in Clarksville Tennessee, Nashville Tennessee, and Murfreesboro Tennessee.

Curriculum

Daymar Institute offers both one- and two-year programs in business, law enforcement, paralegal, and healthcare. Other classes and careers offered include accounting, bookkeeping, computer information technology, e-commerce engineer, and Microsoft support engineer.
