Fort Belvoir Community Hospital is a U.S. Army hospital located on Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia. The hospital opened in 2011 and replaced the DeWitt Army Community Hospital.

The 1.3 million-square-foot, 120-bed facility consists of four ambulatory clinical centers, a seven-story inpatient tower and two parking garages. The facility features single patient rooms, an intensive care unit and state-of-the-art operating rooms, a cancer care center, a center for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, and a full range of primary care, medical and surgical subspecialties.^{[1] [2] [3]} It is the only military inpatient facility in northern Virginia.

As a result of the BRAC 2005 decision to close the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the mission of the Army hospital at Fort Belvoir was expanded. In November 2007, ground was broken on the South Post golf course to build the new hospital.

It is the center of the DeWitt Health Care Network, which features the Rader Army Health Clinic at Fort Myer, Fort A.P. Hill, and the Family Health Centers of Woodbridge and Fairfax.

History as DeWitt Army Community Hospital

Prior to 2011, Fort Belvoir and the region was served by the DeWitt Army Community Hospital which was named in honor of Brigadier General Wallace DeWitt, Sr (1878-1949), a surgeon who served in World War I and World War II. That hospital opened in 1957, had 46 beds, and cost $4.5 million to construct. It was the second of nine hospitals planned by the Army during the building program following the Korean War.
