As of the census[1] of 2010, there were 118,032 people residing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The population density was 2,320.8/km² (6,011.5/mi²). There were 46,921 housing units. The racial makeup of the city was 58.51% White, 12.55% African American, 0.76% Native American, 2.15% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 20.97% from other races, and 5.01% from two or more races. 42.75% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

Religion
Allentown has a wide variety of religions. The Diocese of Allentown is the head of the Roman Catholic churches, while there is also a large Protestant population. There is also a Hindu temple and an Islamic mosque. The West End has a large Jewish population.
