Song information

The song was written by Minogue with Steve Anderson and David Seaman at a time when she was trying to develop as an artist. In 1995, her duet with Nick Cave "Where the Wild Roses Grow" had become a hit and the duo had enjoyed considerable pop and critical success including four ARIA Awards. She performed the song live with him at several rock festivals.

A radio edit was commissioned for the track which cuts the flanged "you got it all" swell at the beginning of the song. The video for "Did It Again" was released in late 1997. It was directed by Pedro Romanhi, and features 4 different Kylies ("Indie Kylie", "Cute Kylie", "Dance Kylie" and "Sex Kylie") fighting other each other in a catfight. The media speculated that Minogue was trying to become "Indie Kylie".

"Did It Again" was released just ahead of the release of the album in Australia and reached #15 and #14 in the UK in December 1997. "Did It Again" was certified gold by ARIA and spent 17 weeks in the ARIA Top 50, making it one of Minogue's longest charting singles.
