Dindigul taluk is a taluk of Dindigul district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Dindigul.
Population
According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Dindigul had a population of 715,005 with 358,864 males and 356,141 females. There were 992 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 73.37. The total number of households was 169,955.
