Dortmund-Dorstfeld is a railway station situated in Dortmund in western Germany. It is served by the S1, S2 and S4 lines of Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn.[1] It has an important role as an interchange point since the trains of the S4 line do not serve Dortmund Hauptbahnhof. Therefore, departure times of the S2 and S4 lines are coordinated in order to allow interchange on shared platforms for each destination. Those are to be found on the upper floor of the station, while the S1 line stops in an underground station. There are also a three bus lines serving the station.[2]
