List of Dr. Slump characters
The characters of Dr. Slump

This is a list of recurring characters from the anime & manga series Dr. Slump written by Akira Toriyama. Many of these characters make a minor appearance in Toriyama's more well known series Dragon Ball.

Norimaki family

Arale

Senbei

Senbei Norimaki (則巻千兵衛 Norimaki Senbei?, "Seaweed-wrapped Rice cracker") is Penguin Village's goofy and lecherous genius inventor who is able to invent the most brilliant and ridiculous inventions. He can also transform into a more handsome, taller version of himself (for a very brief period of three minutes). When in this state he very strongly resembles Tony Stark, the billionaire inventor of Iron Man. He smokes Cigarettes regularly and his daily meal only consists of 3-minute cup noodles. Arale calls him "hakase" (博士?, doctor). His name becomes Senbee according to its kanji writing while a rice cracker is senbei (煎餅), and they are phonetically the same. At the beginning of the series he is 28 years old.

In his appearance in the Dragon Ball series, he attempts to fix Son Goku's Dragon Radar. Senbei also makes a brief non speaking role in the Dragon Ball film Dragon Ball: Mystical Adventure.

He is voiced by Kenji Utsumi in the first anime and Yūsaku Yara in the second. In the FUNimation Dub of Dragon Ball he is voiced by Brice Armstrong.

Gatchan

Gajira "Gatchan" Norimaki (則巻ガジラ Norimaki Gajira?) (Gadzilla "Gatchan" Norimaki in the English translation) is a green-haired, cherub-like creature with wings, hatched from an egg brought home by Senbei from a time traveling trip; later it (or he/she as the comic is ambiguous) reveals the inexplicable ability to clone itself. Gatchan eats almost anything, rubber being the only exception, and particularly seems to like metal. It can also shoot rays from its antennae. Gatchan speaks in its own language, which consists primarily of sounds like "poo pee poh" that Arale (and later, Turbo) somehow seem to understand. It is eventually revealed that Gatchan was actually an angel sent by God to prevent the further development of human civilization. After seeing that other civilizations eventually destroyed themselves and the planets they lived on, God deposited an angel egg on Earth in its distant past. Gatchan's abilities should have ensured that humanity would remain both primitive and innocent. Seeing that Gatchan failed in the mission (due to Senbei's accidental intervention), God resolved to destroy humanity himself. However, after seeing the life of Penguin village and how consequently happy his little cherubim were, he relinquished both Gatchan and the Earth to their own fates. Gatchan's real name is a combination of the names of Gamera and Gojira (the latter known as Godzilla in the West), hence it's known as "Gadzilla" in the English version, although Gatchan is occasionally referred to as Gajira (or sometimes "Gazira") at times.

Both Gatchans appear in Dragon Ball and are revealed to be pure of heart since they can ride Goku's Kinto'un. They appear in Dragon Ball: Mystical Adventure where they help Arale fight Tao Pai Pai. They also appear in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Gatchan is voiced by Seiko Nakano in the first anime series and Chie Sawaguchi in the second.

Midori

Midori Yamabuki (山吹みどり Yamabuki Midori?, "Orange-yellow Green") is Arale's beautiful teacher and Senbei's dream girl. After a long period of unrequited love and nervous misunderstandings, Senbei proposes to her while thinking she is out of earshot. Surprisingly, she accepts immediately (while on the toilet, no less) and they are married in the next manga panel, becoming Mrs. Midori Norimaki. She is 23 years old at the beginning of the series. She also appears in Dragon Ball.

She is voiced by Mariko Mukai in the first anime and Yuko Minaguchi in the second.

Turbo

Turbo Norimaki (則巻ターボ Norimaki Tābo?, "Seaweed-wrapped" Turbo, "Turbomaru" was the name of the author's dog at the time) is Senbei and Midori's son, who is nearly killed by aliens and then revived by them, in the process accidentally imbuing him with many super powers including teleportation, flight, and telekinesis. Consequently, he is also a genius, the likes of which surpass even his own father. In the seventh through ninth Dr. Slump films an older version of him is seen.

In Dragon Ball, he fixes Son Goku's Dragon Radar after Senbei was unable to figure it out. Once Arale defeated General Blue who had taken the Radar with him, Turbo creates a new Dragon Radar using parts from Senbei's plane and his psychic powers.

In both anime adaptions he is voiced by Yūko Mita and by Mami Matsui in the Dr. Slump films.

Obotchaman

Obotchaman (オボッチャマン?, "Well-mannered boy raised in a good environment" + man) is a humanoid robot based on Arale's design that was built by Dr. Mashirito, who instead made him male and removed certain qualities he found "annoying." Initially dubbed "Caramel Man #4" by Dr. Mashirito, he is both extremely polite and well-mannered. Soon afterward, however, Arale renames him Obotchiman-kun (おぼっちまんくん?). He later becomes a love interest for Arale; in fact, a "future" visit into the Dr. Slump timeline (done during the story) shows the two of them married and with a (robotic) baby made by Senbei.

He makes a minor appearance in the Dragon Ball manga but has a slightly larger part in anime filler where he tries to help General Blue fix his car (unaware that Blue is a bad guy).

He is voiced by Mitsuko Horie in the first anime series and Motoko Kumai in the second.

Nitro

Nitro Norimaki is Senbei and Midori's second child. Unlike Turbo, Nitro is a female and poses no psychic powers like her brother. She appears in the seventh, eighth & ninth Dr. Slump films but does not appear in the original manga and anime series.

Mr. Time

Mr. Time is a talking clock built by Senbei that is part of his time traveling invention called the time slipper. He often takes Arale or Senbei through time and must slip on a board in order to start the time travel. Time-kun is voiced by Shigeru Chiba

Kimidori family

Akane

Akane Kimidori (木緑あかね Kimidori Akane?, "Yellow-green Dark Red") is a rebellious teenage girl who quickly becomes Arale's best friend. She often plays pranks on Senbei who considers her a bad influence on Arale. She is called "Akane-chin" by Arale instead of "Akane-chan." She starts dating (and eventually marries) Tsukutsun Tsun late in the series. She is 13 years old at the beginning of the series.

She has a brief appearance in the Dragon Ball series. In the anime, she tries to ride on Goku's Kinto'un but gets rejected by it since she is not of pure heart.

She is voiced by Kazuko Sugiyama in the first anime and Hiroko Konishi in the second.

Aoi

Aoi Kimidori (木緑葵 Kimidori Aoi?, "Yellow-green Blue") is Akane's older sister, who works at the local coffee shop, the Coffee Pot. Unlike her younger sister, she is nice and behaved. She is shown to be good friends with Senbei in the beginning of the series. She is also a terrible car driver. She is 19 at the beginning of the series. She makes a minor non speaking role in Dragon Ball.

She is voiced by Naomi Jinbo in the first series and Hiroko Emori in the second.

Kon

Kon Kimidori (木緑紺 Kimidori Kon?, "Yellow-green Navy-blue") is Akane and Aoi's father. During his first appearance he is shown coming to school with Akane cross dressing due to a prank Akane pulled on him.

He is voiced by Banjou Ginga in the first anime and Hideyuki Tanaka in the second.

Murasaki

Murasaki Kimidori (木緑紫 Kimidori Murasaki?, "Yellow-green Purple") is Akane and Aoi's mother, who is always wiggling her butt and acting bubbly. She is the younger sister of Taro and Peasuke's mother, Mame Soramame.

The Soramame family

Taro

Taro Soramame (空豆タロウ Soramame Tarō?, "Broad bean" + common male name "Tarō") is Arale's "bad boy" friend at school. He is usually seen smoking cigarettes and trying to act "cool," which often manifests itself in a number of bad habits. After graduating from high school, he becomes a police officer (because he is allowed to carry a gun and wear dark glasses all the time). He starts dating (and eventually marries) Tsururin Tsun late in the series. He is 15 years old at the beginning of the series.

He appears in the Dragon Ball anime and manga. In the Dragon Ball anime he tries to ride Goku's Kinto'un but gets rejected from not being pure of heart. He is later shown with Gara and Pagos attempting to arrest General Blue.

He is voiced by Toshio Furukawa in the first anime and Shinichirō Ōta in the second.

Peasuke

Peasuke Soramame (空豆ピースケ Soramame Piisuke?, "Broad bean Pea" + common male name ending, "Peasuke" in the English translation) is Taro's little brother who always wears an animal hat. Has a crush on a younger but taller girl named Hiyoko, whom he marries sometime in the comic's future. In the same future (by some time in 1994), they also have a child named Poosuke. He is 13 years old at the beginning of the series. He makes a brief appearance in Dragon Ball.

He is voiced by Naomi Jinbo in the first anime and Megumi Urawa in the second.

Kurikinton

Kurikinton Soramame (空豆クリキントン Soramame Kurikinton?, "Broad bean Sweet chestnut paste") is the father of the Soramame family and the town barber. He is somewhat perverted – much like Senbei Norimaki and Tsuruten Tsun – but does a much better job of hiding it a majority of the time. He is skilled with a gun and looks similar to Clint Eastwood. He makes a minor appearance in the Dragon Ball manga.

He is voiced by Kouji Totani in the first anime and Nobuaki Kanemitsu in the second.

Mame

Mame Soramame (空豆まめ Soramame Mame?, "Broad bean Bean") is Taro and Peasuke's rather short mother, who wears an animal cap much like Peasuke does. She is also Murasaki Kimidori's older sister. She is voiced by Yumi Nakatani in the first anime.

Pochi

Pochi Soramame (空豆ポチ Soramame Pochi?, "Broad bean" + common name for male dogs) is Taro and Peasuke's pet tortoise which has a name for dogs.

Tsun family

A Chinese family whose spaceship crash landed in Penguin Village. In the manga, their (Japanese) speech is shown in the text balloons as written entirely in kanji (including "ateji"; kanji used for pronunciation of foreign words), and as such, would make no sense to Chinese readers; e.g. "anata" (you, or darling) is rendered as 穴田 (ana + ta; namely hole + rice field), laughter ("hahaha") is written as 八八八 (3 × eight). As for the names of this family, there seems to be no kanji that independently reads tsun in common Japanese, so the kanji of "摘" and "詰" are used, each of which is a part of the word "tsunda".

A few notes for their speech in the manga: A kanji of "死" (death) is used for "desu" (です; a suffix for expressing politeness) because the sound in English is similar. And since it seems to be impossible to turn a part of "run" (るん) into kanji, a musical note is used instead because that part can make a word "runrun" which expresses humming or singing in a happy mood.

Tsukutsun

Tsukutsun Tsun (摘突詰 Tsun Tsukutsun?, The sound of poking something (such as feces)) is the son of the family, who practices kung fu (including taijiquan). Although normally not as strong as the powerful Arale or Gatchan(s), when extremely angry he becomes more powerful than both. For some reason, whenever he is touched by a girl he turns into a tiger and cannot change back unless touched by a guy. To his confusion, Arale does not trigger this transformation since she is not a real girl. He starts dating (and eventually marries) Akane Kimidori late in the series. He makes a brief appearance in Dragon Ball.

He is voiced by Shigeru Chiba in the first anime and Ryoutarou Okiayu in the second.

Tsururin

Tsururin Tsun (摘鶴燐 Tsun Tsururin?, The sound of something shiny and smooth (such as a bald head)) is the daughter of the family. She has various super powers, such as telekinesis and teleportation. She starts dating (and eventually marries) Taro Soramame late in the series. She appears briefly in the Dragon Ball manga riding with Taro on his motorcycle.

She is voiced by Yūko Mita in the first anime and Houko Kuwashima in the second.

Tsuruten

Tsuruten Tsun (摘鶴天 Tsun Tsuruten?) is the father of the family. He built a family spaceship, the "Reh Tsu Go" (a play on the phrase "let's go"), which crashed in Penguin Village. An even bigger pervert than Senbei, the two of them have become friends. He makes a minor non speaking role in Dragon Ball.

He is voiced by Hiroshi Ohtake in the first anime and Kouji Yada in the second.

Tsuntsunodanoteiyugo

Tsuntsunodanoteiyugo Tsun (摘詰角田野廷遊豪 Tsun Tsuntsunodanoteiyūgō?) is the mother of the family, who also practices kung fu, like her son. She tends to beat up her husband when she catches him in acts (or even thoughts) of perversion. Her name comes from an old marketing jingle of the Japanese bicycle manufacturer Tsunoda. She makes a minor appearance in the Dragon Ball manga.

She is voiced by Mitsuko Horie in the first anime and Michie Tomizawa in the second.

Penguin Village Police Force

(Note that none of the police force are given names in the original comics (except for Charmy Yamada), although Gara and Pagos' names appear on a banner attached to a motor scooter they ride together early in the comic series. Polly Bucket's (English) name, on the other hand, was only given as an answer to one of the special bonus "quizzes" found in the English translation of the comic's tankōbon edition.)

Gara & Pagos

Gara (ガラ?) and Pagos (パゴス Pagosu?) are two patrolmen that constantly have their car destroyed (accidentally) by an excited running Arale. Gara is short and dark skinned and Pagos is a tall. They first appeared in the second half of Akira Toriyama's 1979 one-shot Wonder Island, also as a policeman, though the setting was entirely different. As hinted on Wonder Island Gara's name is likely a pun on the movie monster Garamon, who he somewhat resembles. Gara and Pagos were named after Galápagos Islands ("garapagosu shotou").

They appear in the Dragon Ball anime where they along with Taro attempt to arrest General Blue but fail and go to the police station to get back up.

In the first anime Gara was voiced by Isamu Tanonaka and Pagos was voiced by Masaharu Satou. In the second anime Gara was voiced by Nobuhiko Kazama and Pagos was voiced by Michio Nakao.

Gyaosu

Gyaosu (ギャオス?) is the police chief. Like Gara and Pagos, his first appearance was in the one-shot Wonder Island. He appears briefly in the Dragon Ball anime.

He is voiced by Kouji Totani in the first anime and Bin Shimada in the second.

Polly Buckets

Polly Buckets (ポリー·バケッツ Porī Bakettsu?) is the uzi-toting female cop. Despite being the only female on the police force, she is considered the most intimidating and dangerous. Her name is derived from the Japanese abbreviation "poribaketsu" (lit. "polyethylene bucket"). She makes a brief appearance in the Dragon Ball anime.

She is voiced by Toshiko Fujita in the first anime and Masako Katsuki in the second.

Stormtrooper

Stormtrooper is a recurring police officer who wears a Stormtrooper helmet from the Star Wars franchise. Unlike the other police officers who use guns, he uses a slingshot.

Charmy Yamada

Charmy Yamada (チャーミー山田 Chāmī Yamada?) is a very dedicated Metropolis Island cop who joins the force later in the series. He appears briefly in the Dragon Ball anime. He is voiced by Ryou Horikawa in the first anime.

Other recurring characters

Dr. Mashirito

Dr. Mashirito (マシリト?, the family name of Toriyama's at-the-time editor, Kazuhiko Torishima, spelled reversed) is Senbei's evil mad scientist rival. He attempts to take over the world various times and defeat Arale with his robots he calls Caramel Man. Due to constant failed attempts at world domination, he is slowly forced to convert himself into a cyborg. He was modeled after Toriyama's editor at the time, Kazuhiko Torishima.

In the first anime he was voiced by Nachi Nozawa and then Keiichi Noda. In the anime films based on the first series he is voiced by Yasuo Yamada. He is voiced by Akira Kamiya in the seventh and ninth movie. In the second anime he is voiced by Ryoutarou Okiayu.

Suppaman

Suppaman (スッパマン?, "Sour" + man) is a Superman parody from a far away planet, who unfortunately has no real super powers or sense of justice. He typically "flies around" with his belly on a skateboard, throws grenades, and changes his clothes in a phone booth, eating an umeboshi to transform. Suppaman works as a reporter when in disguise as Kenta Kuraaku (暗悪 健太 Kuraaku Kenta?), which is a Japanese pun on the name Clark Kent (when pronounced in the "surname given name" order). He also has a younger brother, Syoppaman (lit. "salty" man), who eats shiokara to transform. He first appeared in Akira Toriyama's one-shot Tomato as his secret identity Kenta Kuraaku. Coincidentally, Suppaman was originally created to star in a manga of own but was rejected by Toriyama's editor, Kazuhiko Torishima. Toriyama felt sorry for the character and subsequently resurrected him as a supporting character for his hit manga, Dr. Slump.[1]

In Dragon Ball, he attempted to stop General Blue, but when he found that Blue could easily destroy the phone booth, Suppaman gave General Blue directions to Senbei's house and even let Blue take his car. In the FUNimation Dub of Dragon Ball, his name is changed to Sour Man.

In the first anime he is voiced by Tesshō Genda and by Toru Furuya in the second.

King Nikochan

King Nikochan (ニコチャン大王 Nikochan Daiō?) is the king of an alien race named the Nikos. His race have their butts on their heads, their nostrils on the tips of their antennae, and their ears on their feet. He wishes to take over the Earth but his ship always breaks down (plus, he's kind of an ill-tempered idiot). In the manga, he speaks in Central Nagoya dialect, in which a native speaker of the dialect will find distinct from the author's Northern Nagoya dialect. In the anime, he speaks in a false Nagoya dialect. He is always accompanied by his unnamed sunglasses-wearing servant. Unlike King Nikochan, his servant seems to be much smarter/sensible than the King.(He does not speak in Nagoya dialect.)

In the Dragon Ball manga, King Nikochan makes a minor non speaking background appearance. In the anime he makes a longer appearance in a filler scene of him and his assistant collecting trash on the streets of Penguin Village (which he thinks is treasure) and of them getting their ship shot down by the Penguin Village Police Force (being mistaken for the Red Ribbon Army).

In the first anime King Nikochan is voiced by Hiroshi Ohtake and in the second anime he is voiced by Bin Shimada. His servant is voiced by Shigeru Chiba in the first anime and by Ryou Horikawa in the second.

Chivil

Chivil (チビル Chibiru?) is a small imp occasionally seen playing with Arale and the Gatchans. Originally sent to Penguin Village from Mount Flap-Flap to search for souls for his master, he eventually found that he'd much rather play with people than kill them (due in no small part to Arale's persistance), though he still takes a shot at it every once in a while. He also has a pet dragon named Taxi Dragon which he rides on to get places. He has an equally crazy sister named Witchpee who has a crush on many male members of the main cast at one time or another. He is voiced by Reiko Katsura is the first anime.

Bubibinman

Bubibinman (ブビビンマン?, "Sound of a fly buzzing" + man) is a Hero-wannabe from Suppaman's planet, who came to Earth after hearing that Suppaman (whom he perceives as a weakling) had become a hero here, using his powers of flight and superhuman strength; ultimately, he is side-tracked by his fly tendencies (and resulting diet). He makes a minor non speaking role in the Dragon Ball anime. He is voiced by Mugihito in the first anime series.

Parzan

Parzan (パーザン Pāzan?, "Fool" + zan, parody of "Tarzan") is a Tarzan hero wannabe with almost exactly the same face as Suppaman and Bubibinman and claims to be the king of . He makes a minor non speaking role in the Dragon Ball anime. He is voiced by Kouji Totani in the first anime and Minori Matsushima in the second.

She makes a minor appearance in Dragon Ball. In the first anime series she is voiced by Kazuko Sugiyama and by Noriko Uemura in the second.

Daigoro Kurigashira

Daigoro Kurigashira (栗頭大五郎 Kurigashira Daigorō?, Chestnut-head Daigorou) is Arale's high school teacher. He has a huge head which is shaped like a chestnut. (The "kuri" in his name means "chestnut" and "-gashira" (kashira) means "head". "Dai" is "big", and "Daigorou" is also the Japanese given name of Takamiyama, a popular former Sumo wrestler from Hawaii.) His character style was used as model of Kurita Ryokan. He makes a non speaking appearance in Dragon Ball. He is voiced by Tetsuo Mizutori in the first anime series and by Nobuo Tobita in the second.

Donbe

Donbe (ドンベ?) is an anthropomorphic Kitsune fox who likes to use his shape shifting abilities to transform into things to scare people and cause mischief. Later on he gets a love interest who is a female fox named Kitsuneko. He makes a minor non speaking cameo in the Dragon Ball anime.

He is voiced by Shigeru Chiba in the first anime and by Kappei Yamaguchi in the second.

Hiyoko

Hiyoko (ヒヨコ?, Chick) is Peasuke's (much taller) girlfriend. She lives in a house that is made out of a giant tree stump and has a little sister named Sparrow (Suzume) who rides a magic carpet. She gets saved by Peasuke from a bug after she was hit by Senbei's big-small ray gun. She marries him in the future and they have a child named Poosuke.

She is voiced by Saeko Shimazu in the first anime and by Houko Kuwashima in the second.

Drampire

Drampire (ドランパイア Doranpaia?, Dracula + Vampire) (known in the English translation as "Trampire,") is vampiress that loves blood and money. She tries to suck Arale's blood and steal Senbei's money only to fail on both accounts in the end. She is later seen working as a part time reaper for Enma and is sent to reap Senbei's soul but ends up getting fired due to Arale's interference. She is accompanied by a nameless monster (similar in appearance to Frankenstein's monster) who can transform into a wolfman. Despite the fact that she's a monster herself, she's very put off by the strange creatures going on around her. She makes a brief background cameo in the Dragon Ball anime. She is voiced by Keiko Han in the first anime.

Skop

Skop is an exchange student from Metropolis Island. At first he is introduced as an extremely smart and serious student that looked down on everyone as idiots but after seeing that Arale was able to do his homework, he becomes goofy like everyone else in Penguin Village. Skop has the appearance of Spock from Star Trek and lives in a house which is shaped like the Starship Enterprise. He is voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka in the first anime series.

Goronbo

Thunder Ogre Goronbo (based on the thunder god Raijin) is an ogre who lives in the clouds and controls the weather as well as being the weather man. He has a girlfriend named Pikako.

Dodongadon

Dodongadon is a one-eyed alligator-like monster that has two mouths. Dodongadon originally was seen destroying Penguin Village but gets defeated by Arale in a very playful manner. Dodongadon can shoot a rocket out of its back mouth and is not affected by bullets. In the sixth Dr. Slump film, Dodongadon is revealed to have a mother named Mamandagon who is significantly bigger. In the sixth film, Dodongadon is voiced by Keiko Yamamoto.

Koita Ojo

Koita Ojo (王城恋太 Ōjō Koita?, a slangy expression of "[I was] totally perplexed.")
The Ulteeny Force member who is called upon for help when the dreadful Dodongadon shows up and starts terrorizing Penguin Village. He also transforms into the superhero, Kintaman (no relation to Kinnikuman-related Kintāman, nor to another manga Chōjin Kintaman). In the original manga, he belongs to the Uruchora Police Force (Uruchora Keisatsutai), a parody of the Ultra Guard (Urutora Keibitai) of Ultra Seven.

Unchi-kun

Unchi-kun (うんち君?, Mr. Poop)
Voiced by: Keiko Yamamoto (Anime 1), Chika Sakamoto (Anime 2)
One of several coiled poos (which look much like soft ice cream) that appears occasionally, tends to have a sense of justice in general, has feet to run around with (in Japanese children's books, a similar character with the same name appears to teach children potty training).

Momotaro

Momotaro (桃太郎?) based on the character from Japanese folklore of the same name. Momotaro is seen occasionally around Penguin Village and attends Penguin Village Junior High. Momotaro ended up in Penguin Village after Arale used Senbei's invention the Fairy Tale Machine to transport her into the story "Momotaro the Peach Boy" where she messed up the story and brought him back into the real world. Even though that is how he ended up in Penguin Village, he was seen many times before that event in many non speaking background roles. In the first anime he is voiced by Naomi Jinbo.

Professor Monster

Professor Monster is a fan of giant monster movies such as Godzilla and Gamera. He was first shown in a villain role kidnapping Arale to use her for ransom money to buy an expensive monster film encyclopedia but then befriends her as a fellow monster fan. In the anime he is voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka.

Toriyama

Toriyama (トリヤマ?)
Voiced by: Isamu Tanonaka (bird, robot) and Hideyuki Tanaka (human) (Anime 1)
A self-caricature of the manga's author Akira Toriyama, who is depicted as a mountain-like bird (the name Toriyama means bird mountain), a robot, or a man wearing a surgical mask. In vol. 8, he challenges Arale to a race. Arale seems to have won, but Toriyama claims otherwise, and was most likely banned from the town.
Matsuyama (松山?)
Toriyama's 2nd assistant.
Voiced by: Shigeru Chiba
Makusa (マクサ?)
Takoyaki cook, the model of this character is Akira Sakuma, a notable game designer and a co-author of Toriyama's book.

The deity who rules over the galaxy surrounding the Earth and is the creator of Gatchan. He resembles an elderly bearded man and despite his status as "God," he lives in a humble-looking cabin. Kami-sama was the inspiration for the character of Kame-Sennin from Toriyama's subsequent series Dragon Ball.[2]

The Sun
