Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this facility is assigned DIJ by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA[3] (which assigned DIJ to Dijon Airport in Dijon, France[4]).
Facilities and aircraft operations
Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport covers an area of 101 acres (41 ha) at an elevation of 6,229 feet (1,899 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 3/21 with an asphalt surface measuring 7,302 by 75 feet (2,226 x 23 m).[1]
For the 12-month period ending March 28, 2006, the airport had 7,600 aircraft operations, an average of 20 per day: 85.5% general aviation and 14.5% air taxi. At that time there were 108 aircraft based at this airport: 72% single-engine, 9% multi-engine, 9% jet, 1% helicopter and 8% glider.[1]
