Coat of arms of Letizia, Princess of Girona.

This is a list of Princesses and Duchesses of Girona, since 1388, both by marriage and birth. The only Princess of Girona by her own right was Joanna the Mad because previously Aragonese laws of succession, introduced by the House of Barcelona, barred women from succeeding and only allowing it to pass through the female line after the death of all male dynasts. Heiress Presumptives are not considered Princesses or Duchess of Girona, for example John I of Aragon was unsuccessful in trying to propose to the Aragonese Cortes that his daughter, Infanta Constance (1340-1363), would became heir to the throne, in the absence of a male heir.
