Dynamic Structures

Dynamic Structures is a Canadian company with a history in steel fabrication dating back to the 1920s. They create amusement rides, theme park rides, observatory telescopes and other complex steel structures.

Canada France Hawaii Telescope

Dynamic Structures has been involved in the design and construction of most of the world's largest observatories.[1] These include:

Currently the company is busy with the design of what will be the largest telescope in the world, called the Thirty Meter Telescope[2][3]

Amusement Park Rides

Their partnership with Robocoaster and SNOX have led to the development of several rides which incorporate robotic and other industrial automation technologies. These include several installations of the Robocoaster G1 rides in parks such as Legoland.

  • SOARIN' Over California, Disneyland , 2001
  • SOARIN', EPCOT, Walt Disney World, 2005
  • Space Mountain, Disneyland, 2005 [5]
  • Mark VII Monorail, Disneyland, 2007 - 2010
  • Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Universal's Islands of Adventure, 2010 - ride involves robotic arms that run on a track.
