She believes she has found her utopia and no longer wishes to planeswalk. Her biggest desire is to protect the utopia she has found and to be among them. As the shards collided in the later events of the Conflux, the Grixis Lord Malfegor approached Bant's sunny shores with a massive army of undead as part of Bolas's plans, Elspeth moved to intercept him. However, by forcing her to compromise her beliefs, Bolas managed to displace Elspeth and prevent her involvement in the war of Alara.

Eron the Relentless

A thief and a rogue, the ruler of all the land from Koskun Falls to the edge of the Great Wood. He tried to govern chaos among the goblin families. He was originally a petty thief from Aysen and once stole a spellbook from grandmother Sengir. In return for the book, and with the help of its spells, he was made immortal and immune to aging by the corrupt Bernatheen, wizard savant. Eron proclaimed himself King of the Goblins of the Homelands. He was worshiped as a demi-god by the goblins, who successfully assassinated him 27 times. Each time he came back his ideas of justice seemed to degenerate even further. He formed a treaty with Aysen in which he agreed to keep his subjects from invading in exchange for continuing trade in foods and goods. His primary concern was the future of all the peoples in the Homelands, and his own place of power among them as the Goblin King. Therefore he hated chaotic thieves like Joven and Chandler. (Homelands). (Card: Eron the Relentless)

Erissa

A bog witch on Jamuraa (Prophecy)

Ertai

A magical prodigy and student on Tolaria, Ertai was an arrogant wizard with great potential. When his mentor Barrin elected not to join the Weatherlight crew, Ertai came in his place. He was needed to cast the spell to cross into the Plane of Rath, but once there, they found that they couldn’t leave the same way. The only means for the ship to leave Rath was a mysterious portal, which could only be manipulated by powerful magic. Ertai volunteered to prepare the portal for the Weatherlight’s return from the Stronghold. While meditating on the problem, he was approached by the Soltari emissary Lyna, and Ertai struck a bargain: the Soltari would help open the portal so the Weatherlight could escape, and in return, he would hold it open long enough for the Soltari to also escape Rath and the half-life they endured there. The Weatherlight eventually completed its mission and made for the Portal, while the Predator pursued. Unable to slow down, the Weatherlight passed through the portal but missed Ertai, who landed on the Stronghold's flagship instead and was taken prisoner. Ertai was made to contest for the now-vacant Evincarship of Rath against the formidable Crovax. He also struck an intimate relationship with the Phyrexian Emissary Belbe. She offered him the position of Evincar of Rath, but he refused. He eventually helped Crovax defeat the returned Volrath. Now badly corrupted by the black Rathi mana he had been using to heal himself, he joined Crovax's side as his lieutenant and received several physical augmentations. His hatred of Gerrard and the Weatherlight deepened as he blamed them for stranding him on Rath in the first place. Ertai continued serving Crovax during the Phyrexian Invasion. He was eventually killed by Squee in his black-mana infusion chamber. (Cards: Ertai, Wizard Adept, Ertai, the Corrupted, Squee's Revenge)

Intended to seal Simic control of the plane, Kraj is formed when Vig brings every piece of cytoplast (a psychically adaptive gel marketed as an indispensable mod-con throughout Ravnica) together and merges it with the Simic guildhall and its inhabitants. This event coincides with the emergence of the demon Rakdos in the city, and an ensuing duel renders both titans comatose. (Card: Experiment Kraj)
