Malmö IP

Malmö IP is a football stadium in Malmö, Sweden. It is the former home stadium of both Malmö FF and IFK Malmö and the current home stadium for ladies team LdB FC Malmö. It was built in 1896. The present day capacity is 7.600. Extensive restoration was carried out and finished in 1999. Before the 2008 season a syntethic pitch was laid out, as a result IFK Malmö moved to Malmö Stadion in protest. The stadium was used for many home games of Malmö FF and IFK Malmö in the first half of the 20th century before the construction of Malmö Stadion in 1958 when Sweden was awarded the 1958 FIFA World Cup.
