Manof

Manof (Hebrew: מָנוֹף‎‎) is a community settlement in the Misgav Regional Council in northern Israel. It is located in the Lower Galilee between Shefa-'Amr and Karmiel. In 2006 it had a population of 607.

The village was established in 1980 by a group of immigrants from South Africa.

Loyalty oath controversy

In 2009, the communal settlement changed its bylaws to demand that new residents pledge support for "Zionism, Jewish heritage and settlement of the land".[1]
