Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat is the first Marvel Comics video game to use the uDraw GameTablet. The game was developed by Griptonite Games, and published by THQ. With the cartoonish super-deformed characters returning, Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat will be the third video game in the Marvel Super Hero Squad franchise. The game was released in North America on November 15, 2011.[1][2][3][4] Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat has been announced to have a cel-shaded art style, to go with action comic theme.[2][4] The game is the sequel to two video games, Marvel Super Hero Squad, and Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet.

Gameplay

The uDraw GameTablet serves as the player's attacks, weapons and barricades.[1][3] Players draw their own attacks, in order to stop Doctor Doom and his evil cohorts. Featured Locations include The S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, The Baxter Building, The Vault and The Sanctum Sanctorum.[3][4] Shaking the uDraw GameTablet will cause a massive in-game earthquake. A game includes a total of six comic book-designed stages and additionally players can earn "hero points", that can be used to upgrade all ten characters.[5]

Characters

Four squad members (from left to right) Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Falcon

Ten Super Hero Squad members, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor will serve as playable characters in the game.[1][3][2][4] . Scarlet Witch, Invisible Woman, Wolverine, Hulk, Reptil, Squirrel Girl, and Falcon will be the other seven playable characters, as they are seen in the first trailer of the game.[6]
