Matthew Abood (born 28 June 1986 in Sydney, Australia) is a freestyle swimmer from Australia.[1]

Abood won the 50m national title in the 2009 Australian Swimming Championships beating the world record holder (at the time) Eamon Sullivan.[2]

He failed to qualify for the 2010 Pan Pacs, however swam a considerably swift 100m freestyle to win the Canadian Nationals.

He regained the 50m national title at the 2011 Australian Swimming Championships and qualified to swim the in the 4×100m freestyle relay at the world championships.
