The Cambridge Edition of the Letters and Works of D. H. Lawrence

The Cambridge Edition of the Letters and Works of D. H. Lawrence

D. H. Lawrence is one of the most significant authors of the 20th century, but until recently we have lacked trustworthy editions of his prolific writings. "The Cambridge Edition of the Letters and Works of D. H. Lawrence" represents a major scholarly undertaking, which aims to provide new versions of the texts which are as close as can now be determined to those which the author would have wished to see printed.

This ongoing project, started in 1979, will eventually encompass over 40 separate volumes, each complete with a high quality critical apparatus. As such, it represents the authoritative base text for academic comment, literary criticism, reference and research.
