Medal for the Defence of Moscow

The Medal for the Defence of Moscow (Медаль «За оборону Москвы») was established on May 1, 1944. It was designed to commemorate the deeds of all the soldiers and civilians who had actively fought in the defence of Moscow from the Germans, in the Battle of Moscow.
