The MEDIA-TECH Association serves the packaged media manufacturing industry, spanning the range of optical disc, Blu-ray disc, flash media and future formats such as holographic memory and near field recording.

Association Activities

The MEDIA-TECH Association provides the packaged media manufacturing industry with a unique program of trade shows and conferences where the exchange of ideas take place, along with demonstrations of the latest in manufacturing technology. Member companies range from content owners, software developers to suppliers of raw materials and equipment.

MEDIA-TECH Member companies are involved in the delivery of entertainment, electronic games, removable methods of data storage along with many other areas of expertise within the media manufacturing industry.


History

A Committee formed in June 2001 during the REPLIitech exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland to represent the unified voice of package media manufactures. This 10 member committee was represented by 5 members appointed by the Optical Media Machine Association (OMMA) and 5 Members of the ARIES Group of exhibiting companies. The MEDIA-TECH Association was later founded the 9th of November 2001 in Frankfurt, Germany.
