Melal Orchestra

The Melal Orchestra, also known as the Persepolis Orchestra, is a Persian symphony orchestra. Its chief conductor is Peyman Soltani.

The orchestra is formed on the basis of the interaction between two musical cultures, namely Persian instrumental music and church music of the 18th and 19th century. The Melal Orchestra consists of more than 10 Iranian instruments and more than 10 kinds of strings and accompaniments from Europe.

The Persepolis orchestra involves 70 instrumentalists (60 melodic instrumentalists and 10 accompaniment instrumentalists) and a chorus.
