Metajets is a Canadian animated television show produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment. In Canada, MetaJets premiered in July 2008 on Teletoon. In South Korea, this show was first premiered on KBS 1 on January 31, 2009 and on TF1 premiered on October 7, 2009 in France. This show also premiered in selected territories like Cartoon Network on July 4, 2010 in the United States, Studio 23 on July 13, 2010 in the Philippines, and soon on Disney Channel Asia premieres in 2011. As of 2010, the entire first season is available to watch instantly on Netflix.

Series overview

Dubbed as "NASCAR in the Clouds". The year is 2067 and the world has moved up, literally, to cities in the skies. Fans all over the globe follow their favorite sport, the A.R.C. (Aeronautical Racing Circuit). Four of the world's best A.R.C. pilots are teens Trey, Maggie, Zak and newcomer Johnny. On the track these four care about one thing only, winning. Off the track is a different story. There they become Burner, Foxtrot, Vector and Ace - an elite flying team known as the Metajets. Under the command of Captain Strong, the Metajets transform their lightning fast race jets into battle-ready flyers. The Metajets pilots work together to protect people globally from harm, usually at the hands of the evil General Raven and his Black Cloud organization.

Johnny is the newest Metajets pilot on the squad and is eager to prove his worth. With his superior flying skills and natural born talent, Johnny's ego can sometimes get the best of him. But when it comes to his team, Johnny is as loyal as they come.

Trey Jordan

Code Name: Burner

Trey is the most competitive of the bunch, and as the oldest of our four heroes has become a bit of a leader. Trey often has trouble balancing his racing career with his duties as a Metajet pilot, but luckily his teammates are around to keep him focused on the tasks at hand.

Maggie Strong

Code Name: Foxtrot

Voice Actress: Katie Griffin

Maggie is Captain Strong's daughter and the only female member of the Metajets team, so she feels she has a lot to prove to the boys. She is level-headed and often the voice of reason amongst the team. She has also been flying as long as she can remember and her skills make her a fierce competitor.

Zak Kim

Code Name: Vector

Zak loves racing and loves being a Metajet, but what he really loves are video games and music! Zak is the techie of the bunch, always up on the latest gadgets and gear. He absolutely adores his fans and his friends, and would rather be battling it out with Black Cloud sky bandits in the skies than to have to spend a quiet night at home.

Captain Strong

Real Name: Captain George Strong

Captain Strong is the leader of the Metajets organization, as well as the commissioner of the A.R.C.. At one time Captain Strong was a young pilot recruit himself, and even knew Johnny's father.

General Raven

Voice Actor: Steve Cumyn

General Raven is the leader of the Black Cloud organization, a team of sky bandits who are after total air supremacy. When the time is right General Raven would like to destroy the planet below so that only the airways remain. He is after complete world domination.

Fly Girl

Voice Actress: Athena Karkanis

Flygirl is sassy, smart and ruthless. She may take orders from General Raven, but she is usually looking out for one person only - herself.

Crusher

Voice Actor: David Berni

Crusher is a true bully and a jock. He likes to fly in a souped up football helmet. Crusher fights raw and dirty, he is a frightening force in the sky. He is mostly brawn and not much brains.

Viper

Voice Actor: Jonathan Koensgen

Not much is known about Viper. His real identity, where he came from - it's all a mystery. Even his true face is hidden from view. One thing that is known about him, he is one of the best pilots there are.

Tory - Zak's kid sister who's always following him around.

Saul - Leader of the Stunt Hawks who is willing to risk secrets to finish MetaJets.

Kai - A member of the Stunt Hawks.

Deb - A member of the Stunt Hawks.

Jets

Ace's MetaJet

Ace is the proud owner of his Dad's jet, which was his when he was an important member of Metajets.

Ace takes criminal aircraft down with a one two punch combo. First he freezes them with his secret weapon, a Liquid Nitrogen missile, then he delivers the final blow by ramming his jet into them, sending the aircraft exploding into countless pieces of ice!

Burner's MetaJet

Burner is about speed and flash and his Metajet certainly reflects his personality.

His jet is boldly adorned with scorching flames, but it's not all about the look. This jet also packs an awesome punch from its secret weapon� a Laser Cannon!

Foxtrot's MetaJet

No mistaking whose jet is Foxtrot's. Growing up around her military father has certainly influenced her Jet.

Painted in camouflage from nose to tail this finely tuned machine is also equipped with her unique weapons - Solar Rockets - able to temporarily blind her opponents before rendering them harmless!

Vector's MetaJet

You won't find Vector far away from his tunes, and that also includes his jet.

Vector is all about sound - from the 15 inch sub woofers in the cockpit to the unique weapon, a Sonic Wave Blast!

Vector's jet is loaded and ready for battle!
