Michael Caruso (born 25 May 1983, in Sydney, Australia), is an Australian professional racing driver. Starting as a driver of go-karts at age 11,[1] he began driving with Formula Ford in 2001. He moved to Formula Three in 2002 and won the Australian Formula 3 title in 2003. With offers to move to FIA Formula 3000 in Europe, he chose to join the Holden Young Lions team in V8 Supercars for 2004. After a poor start he quit the team. In 2005 he did the first few rounds of the Australian Formula 3 Championship, before moving to Europe to be test and reserve driver for the Astromega F3000 team.

2006 he returned to Australia and raced in the V8 Supercar Development Series with Jim Morton's Decina Team finishing 4th. 2007 he was runner-up in the Fujitsu V8 Development series again with Jim Morton's Ford Rising Star Program. He has made 3 V8 Supercars starts, one with Brad Jones team at Bathurst in 2006 and two with WPS in 2007. 2008 marks his first full season in V8 Supercars switching from Ford to Holden with Garry Rogers Motorsport replacing Dean Canto. In 2009 in race 10, at Hidden Valley Raceway, Caruso won his first ever V8 Supercars race.
