The Striped Bandicoot (Microperoryctes longicauda) is a species of marsupial in the Peramelidae family. It is found in West Papua, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests.[2]

Type Locality: Indonesia, Prov. of Papua (= Irian Jaya), Vogelkop, Manokwari Div., Arfak Mtns, Hatam, 1520 m
