Since 1972, Mission Hills has played host to the annual Kraft Nabisco Championship, one of the four major championships in women's professional golf. It was also the venue for the 1978 Davis Cup tennis final matches.

Mission Hills Country Club has been owned by ClubCorp since 1993.

Golf

The first golf course at Mission Hills Country Club opened in 1972 and was designed by Desmond Muirhead. It is over this course, now known as the Dinah Shore Tournament Course, that the Kraft Nabisco Championship is played.

The second course was designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer and opened in 1979. A third course was added in 1988, and originally called the Dinah Shore Course, but with Dinah Shore's name being transferred to the old course after her death in 1994, was renamed as the Pete Dye Challenge Course.
