Mopa, Nigeria

Mopa is a town in Nigeria. It is the headquarters of the Mopa-Muro Local Government Area in Kogi State. Local industries include Mopa Breweries and two marble quarries.[1][2] Mopa has a state-run Government Technical College.[3]

Sunday Awoniyi, the chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, was Aro (traditional ruler) of Mopa.[4] Brigadier General Samuel Teidi also hails from Mopa.[5] Chief Duro Adeyele, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is another distinguished indigene.[6]
