Morocco–Norway relations

The relations between Morocco and Norway resulted in Moroccan Ambassador to Norway (Yahdid Bouchaab) and the King of Norway meeting by appointment, on September 9, 2011.^[1]

2009

The Norwegian embassy's alleged improper sheltering of 2 dual-citizenship children (of Khalid Skah and Cecilie Hopstock) during their escape in 2009, led to a diplomatic dispute between the two countries.^[2][3] The children stayed at the embassy for 3 days.^[4] On the following day, Norway's ambassador (Bjørn Blokhus) left Morocco.^[5] One year after the incident, Moroccan authorities had not approved any new ambassador from Norway.^[6]
