CA. Motilal Oswal, the Chairman and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) is a Chartered Accountant and he spearheads the business along with co-promoter, Mr.Raamdeo Agrawal in 1987.[1]

Achievements

Mr. Oswal was awarded the "Rashtriya Samman Patra" by the Government of India for being amongst the highest Income Tax payers in the country for a period of 5 years from FY95–FY99.[2]

Mr. Oswal was the Director of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). He has also been member of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) committee for F&O and a member of the Managing Committee of Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC). He has served as a board member and a Director of Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO). ‘Knight of the Millennium’ was awarded to Mr. Oswal for the Capital Market by the Indian Council of Management Executives (ICME)

Awards

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India felicitated Mr. Oswal with the "Excellent Business Achiever in Financial Services" award.[3] The “Udyog Rattan Award” was also conferred to him for his performance in the industrial development of the country by the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi. He has also been awarded “The Hall of Fame for Excellence in Franchising” by - Franchising World Magazine.
