Mrtvice is a village to the east of Drnovo in the Krško municipality in eastern Slovenia. The area was traditionally part of Lower Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Spodnjeposavska statistical region.[2]

A number of Roman graves have been found in the area, indicating the eastern extent of the necropolis of the nearby Roman town of Neviodunum .[3]

There is a small open-ended chapel in the settlement. It was built in 1926.[4]
