Murad (tribe)

The Murad are an Arab tribe of eastern Yemen.[1]The tribe belong to the great southern group of the Madhhidj.[2] Several Islamic scholars have cited the name Murad as a nickname and that their own name for themselves are the Yuhabir.[2] They are described as retaining a typically Beduin character and their territory called al-Djawf, placed to the east of Nadjran and Ma'rib.[2]
