Needle Rock View Point

Needle Rock View Point is a tourist spot in Gudalur, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Where the Gudalur is located 51 km on the west of Ooty and the Needle Rock viewpoint is about 8 km from Gudalur on the way of Gudalur-Ooty road. The view point gives you a 360 degree view. The view point is also known as Soochimalai and gets its name from its conical shape.^[1][2][3][4]

About View Point

From the viewpoint sunset can be seen in clear days and during rainy seasons the place is often covered with mist. The sunset seen from here on clear day is guaranteed to take your breath away.The views of Needle Rock View Point is given below:

• The splendid view of mountain popularly known as 'Sleeping Beauty'(also called Aanakkallu) which is exactly in the shape of a sleeping woman.
• A view of Nilgiris and Wayanad districts.
• There are a lot Eucalyptus trees near the view point.
