Nematocarcinoidea is a superfamily of shrimp, comprising three families – Eugonatonotidae, Nematocarcinidae and Rhynchocinetidae.[1] They share the presence of strap-like epipods on at least the first three pairs of pereiopods, and a blunt molar process.[2] The family Xiphocarididae (containing the genus Xiphocaris) was formerly included.[3]
