Nervilia aragoana or the Tall Shield Orchid is small terrestrial orchid found in the McIlwraith Range in Queensland, Australia, from 0-150 metres altitude which flowers from September to December. It is also found in India, Malaysia, northern Thailand, Laos, Burma, Indonesia and New Guinea.[1] North of the equator it blooms between January and April.[2]

Description

Leaf appears kidney to heart-shaped, 150-250 mm. across, concave but with erect wavy edges. The flower stem is 200-250 mm. tall with 2-6 flowers.[4]
